Welcome to Faith Lutheran School and thank you for visiting our website. Our school is a ministry of the Church and has served children of all backgrounds within the Tucson community since 1952. Faith Lutheran School has a long tradition of providing a quality Christian based education in a safe and nurturing environment. Our motto, “Learning in Love, Growing in Christ,” truly exemplifies our teachers’ approach to working with students. Small classes, with a low student to teacher ratio, also make it possible for teachers to give students individual direction. Academically, most of our students exceed the average national norms. Equally important, they are taught social skills based on respect and Christian ethics. |

Our programs include kindergarten through grade 8. Our teachers are experienced, well trained and state certified. Our curriculum is supplemented by an excellent music program as well as an athletic program. This year we will be instituting a modified year round schedule which begins July 26, 2010 and features two week breaks in the fall and spring. Click here to see the calendar. SEPTEMBER 11 CHOIR PERFORMANCE
Kindergarten through 8th grade students will be singing at the Saturday evening church service on September 11, 2010. Worship service starts at 5:30 pm, students need to arrive by 5:00 pm.
The bookfair will be open before and after the service, so plan on dropping by.
Parking is available in the lot behind (north) of the school. |

MOMS IN TOUCH WEEKLY MEETING
The local Mom’s In Touch Int’l group meets Friday mornings at 8am in the Faith Lutheran School library. Any mom or grandmother who believes that prayer makes a difference and wants to gather with other moms to pray for our children, teachers and school is welcome. GRANDPARENTS DAY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 Faith Lutheran school will be hosting our annual Grandparent’s Day luncheon on September 13. We invite grandparents to join us at 10 am for classroom visits, a special chapel service at 10:30 and lunch afterwards.
If a student does not have a grandparent who is able to attend and would like a “proxy” grandparent, or if you would like to be a substitute grandparent, please contact the school office. |

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
You are invited to our Scholastic Book Fair, a reading event packed with excitement for students and families. Join us from Sept. 10 to Sept. 16, any time between 7:30 am to 5:00 pm to support the super student in your life, and to promote literacy!
Our Book Fair theme – Here’s to Our Heroes! Reading Saves the Day! – is a weeklong event that brings the books kids love to our school in an atmosphere of fun. Because everyday heroes surround us, the heroes theme allows students to celebrate all types of heroics, from the ordinary to the extraordinary, inspired by a love for books.
A Book Fair connects students with books at affordable prices and makes reading a positive experience. Children are more likely to read the books they personally get to choose. It’s one of the best ways to motivate kids to read more. The more time children spend reading, the stronger their reading skills get. And strong reading skills are the pathway to succeed in school and in life. Reading is the most powerful skill of all!
